Fatal accident results in Texas man charged

A Texas man was charged with intoxication manslaughter after an accident. According to authorities, the man crashed into another driver around 7:39 p.m. on July 6th. The victim, who was 45-years-old, was on his way to work when the fatal accident took place.

The auto accident allegedly occurred when the man ran into the back of the victim’s vehicle. This caused him to lose control and drive into a metal guardrail. His vehicle then went over the side of the rail and hit a highway billboard pole. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by the medical examiner.

While there were no empty alcohol containers located in the vehicle, witnesses to the accident stated that they saw the vehicle driving erratically. Police collected blood specimen from the driver. Intoxication manslaughter is a serious offense in Texas. It has the potential to carry a prison term, as well as a possible monetary fine that must be paid.

A fatal car crash such as this can spell disaster for the family of the victim. Not only must they endure the loss of a loved one, they may also face impending financial hardships. While monetary compensation will not bring back their family member, it is still an important consideration. No family should have to worry about their future because of someone else’s negligent actions. They may have questions regarding the accident and not know where to turn for help. An attorney who has experience with wrongful death cases may be able to help a victim’s family by providing advice and answering any questions they may have regarding the fatal car crash.
