Fire Risk in Jeep Vehicles Involved in Accidents

Risk of fire in side impact or vehicle rollovers is increased by a faulty rollover valve in certain model year 2012 Chrysler vehicles. Chrysler is recalling certain 2012 Jeep models because of the increased risk of fire in side impacts and rollovers because of a faulty rollover valve.

Vehicle fires are especially dangerous because the occupants are often injured and unable to get out of the vehicle after an accident. In many rollover accidents an accident reconstruction expert is needed to determine the cause of the accident and occasionally to determine who was driving.

A prompt investigation needs to be completed in a rollover accident. Often it is necessary to secure the vehicle in a storage facility because the vehicles are totaled and not salvageable.
