2 critically injured in a Texas single-car accident

All four occupants of a Chevrolet Camaro were taken to area hospitals after their car left the roadway and landed on its roof in San Antonio recently, according to reports. The incident occurred on June 18 at approximately 11:15 a.m. on Texas Interstate 35 North. It seemed that all of the occupants were wearing their seat belts.

Police said that the car was traveling on the Loop 410 exit of Interstate 35 North when the driver lost control of the car. Afterward, the vehicle proceeded to traverse an embankment before falling 40 feet.

One of the passengers suffered life-threatening injuries while another was in critical condition, authorities said. Both individuals were transported to University Hospital. The driver and a third passenger also suffered injuries and were taken to another hospital in stable condition.

Although this was a lone-vehicle car accident, all four occupants suffered injuries that will no doubt incur medical expenses. It is possible that existing auto insurance policies of the driver and any of the other passengers could help to cover the cost of these expenses. Depending on the findings of the accident investigation, further compensation may be recouped by the injured victims even considering that they were in the same car as what appears to be the liable driver.

A personal injury lawyer could help to confirm who is liable for their personal injuries and associated expenses. Seeking and maintaining legal counsel could have the greatest positive impact on the ability of each of the injured victims to preserve their right to receiving compensation. Without this type of professional assistance, the victims could feel defenseless and susceptible to coercion from an insurance company since an adjuster could pressure an unsuspecting victim into an unfair settlement.
